Private money, or ‘hard money’ lending, provides mortgage loans to borrowers who, for one reason or another cannot be approved for a mortgage through a conventional lending source. 

The loans are funded by private investors who want to earn interest income from trust deeds secured by real estate. Private money loans are generally made by companies that specialize in these types of loans. One such company is ACM Investor Services, Inc.
